In today's litigious society, employers have become a key target. The Commission on the Future of Worker-Management Relations, an advisory body appointed by President Clinton, analyzed data regarding lawsuits filed in federal court during a 20-year period from 1971 to 1991. The total number of personal injury cases filed in federal court during that 20-year period increased by 17 percent. The total number of employment law disputes filed in federal court, however, increased 430 percent in that same 20 year period, a larger increase than any other classification of cases.  ARE ALL SAFES THE SAME?

Actually no! Most safes you purchase at local retailer have a thirty minute fire rating and no impact rating. In essence, after thirty minutes of fire exposure; the contects will burn or melt.

An impact rating indicates that the safe will with stand a fall from one floor to the next or withstand a certain amount of debris landing on it before the structual integrity of the safe fails.

A FEW WORDS TO THE WISE

When buying a Safe ensure your unit has a minimum of a 1-Hour Fire Rating and a ten foot impact rating.

Fire Rated File Cabinets should have a minimum of a 1-Hour Fire Rating.

Safes & Fire Rated File Cabinets last for decades and often a lifetime, don't go cheap, you will be sorry!

Buy a safe or file cabinet with twice the storage capacity of what you think you need. Most businesses underestimate the amount of space they need, and often end up buying another safe/file cabinet within months

COLOR VERSES B/W CAMERAS?

All camera sensors are monochrome, color is obtained by inserting red, green and blue filters in front. This is why color cameras have less resolution than monochrome cameras.

CAMERA'S & INFRARED LIGHT?

The sensor in a CCD camera is composed of thousands of tiny photo-sensitive diodes; a camera with a resolution of 570 lines incorporates over 400,000 such diodes.

There are various filters that allow different wavelengths to pass, the most common passes light at 715 nm and above. This wavelength is just at the threshold of visible light and shows as a dull red glow. At 780 nm the light is considerably reduced and at 830 it is almost invisible to the human eye. Thus most IR Illuminators sold in the US are between 750 nm and 950 nm.
